Yep, it’s out there. Here’s how.
If you stroke a cat 70 million times you will wear out its fur.
You will also create enough static electricity to power a light bulb for one minute. Don’t try this at home though, kids, because remember, you’ll wear out its fur. It won’t thank you if it ends up looking like Mr Bigglesworth.
Thank you Radio 2 for this piece of mindless trivia!

Mr Bigglesworth….oh my gosh…until this moment I had forgotten that movie. I’m going to have to see that again soon…
If you stroke a cat 70 million times you will have a cat that looks like a puffer fish.
Mrs M glad to have reminded you!
Geldoff, you will probably have the mother of all electric shocks if you touch it, too!

The reason this has never been done is because cats lose interest at 45 million strokes.
And the stroker loses fingers at 45 million and one strokes.
Hmm… Joe, I think you might have a point there!

Ha ha, when I first read the title, I thought it was a command, as in “Free Nelson Mandela”.
Imagine freeing electricity, what would it look like?
Good point, I think it would be kind of blue and purple irridescent light in the shape of a man or woman…
I’ve got that in my head now!
Cheers
